Need some Help with my Edelbrock carb???

Okay guys i just finished puttin an Edelbrock RPM air-gap intake on and after setting the timming and everythihng the car runs really lean when im slowly gettin on the gas. i got an autometere a/f gauge withthe autometer O2 sensor and whatnot.

now before i did the swap i kinda had this problem with it goin to the lean side when id be slowly giving it gas but when id get back off the gas that much it would go back to normal like between fair and rich. also now when i get on the gas WOT it pops alittle and then the car takes off.

now im not sure if its just timming related or the carb related. with the vacume line taken off of the distributor i have it set at 2* timming and with it on its at about 10* timming. if you guys can help me out that would be killer. im tryin to get my car ready for SLP customer day at our local track on OCT. 9th.
