Removing Boosters on a Holley 4150
How do you do this? I've never had to do this before, and I was wondering what the proper proceedure is. Do they just pull out (into bore)? Are they staked in? Thanks.

I have a post about half way down this page about an Edelbrock 1411 that I hate that is on my car. I have wanted to and am in the process of switching to a Holley. I just got a nice Holley 700 DP mechanical secondary on ebay (4150, List 4778). In the intereste of efficiency, I wanted to replace the boosters w/Annular discharge boosters, while the carb is all apart, and before I start jetting it for my engine/altitude. You see?

It requires a special tool (unless someone knows some DIY trick, but I wouldn't want boosters falling out). The company AED makes the tool but it's over $200 plus like a $30 annular adapter. What I did is have The Carb Shop in Ontario Cal. install some of their special annular boosters on the primary side of mine. Cost $25 for each booster, so $50 plus shipping in my case.
