What's the better tuning tool 02 air/fuel meter or EGT?
I've never messed with an air/fuel meter before and I think it would work okay for what I wanna do not to mention they are pretty cheap compared to an EGT setup.
My dad has egt's on his snowmobile and they work great, I just don't want to spend a lot on egt's for my car if an air/fuel will give the same results.
What are the Pros and cons of each?
Does anyone prefer one brand over another?

I'd use the search button, and I am sure a bunch of info will come up. Enough to last a few hours of reading perhaps. I'll share briefly what I have learned, but I am by no means an expert. In comparison of egt vs o2, o2 is superior from my understanding. For one, o2 sensors have a LOT quicker response. Or so I have read. With an o2, you can get an idea how your accelerator pump is doing and I believe that you cannot get that info from a slow egt probe. But in general, having a quicker response will always be better. You can find flat spots easier, for instance. I am sure egt's are better than sniffing the tailpipe, but it seems to me that despite a non wideband o2's limitations, it is the better choice. Not to mention that it is probably cheaper too. And lets not forget the purdy lights on the gauge!
Then there is the whole wideband vs non issues, but in the end a regular, cheap o2 will get you in the ballpark. It'll let you know if you are rich, lean, or right on. Using that with your butt dyno and it ought to get it running well enough to put a smile on your face.
Oh I am just using a cheap Bosch o2 sensor and an Autometer gauge.
