choke adjustment
Searched for this with no luck so here goes:
I have a holley 4160 600 vs. Tuned great (no bog, hesitation or anything) It starts wonderfully when warm or cold outside. But when it is cool, 45 and below it starts fine goes to high idle fine, I let it warm up for a minute or two and when I put it in gear i have to baby the gas and brake to keep it at a idle when i come to a stop. 5 minutes down the road it idles fine at a stop.
I have the choke set where the butterfly just has a little tension in the closed position when cold? This is how i set my old edelbrock that i had, is the holley different? It acts like the choke is coming off too soon.

i rip chokes off, there ridiculous. your car will warm up faster under a slight load while driving than sitting still. and on top of that the longer it takes for your car to warm up the more wear it puts on the motor, so drive it till its warm, just dont beat on it till it gets ther.

keep your foot on the throttle. i call it spontanous choke adjustment. sorry i guess this really isnt helping you out! start the car and let it warm up completely. loosen the screws on the choke cover and gently turn it slowly until just when the choke starts to close, then give it a slight turn away(like 1mm-2mm) and tighten it. should be set. it has been a long time since i set a choke........
