cc q-jet, MCS operation

Does the MixtureControlSolenoid 'replace' the power piston,
or does the MCS 'help out' the power piston?
----any info appreciated---
.
With the MCS electrical connector disconnected,
can a cc qjet be made into a 'old non-cc' qjet
with judicious choice of rods and jets?

It's a complete replacement for the old vacuum operated power piston. No way to make a cc-QJet operate like an earlier non-computer controlled one. It's not just the primary jets/rods it's also the idle circuits that are controlled by the MC solenoid.
