I dont know if its called the iac on a carb'd car, but the solenoid that kicks the throttle open part ways, when does that kick on? i was driving and noticed my car idleing high and the solenoid was powered with heater controls switched to off. Is this normal, or is it suppost to kick on other times as well as in the ac position?

 

Bumps up the idle when the ac is turned on.
