Disconnecting Spark Advance

I understand I need to disconnec the spark advance but I am having trouble locating it exactly. Someone told it was black and white but another told me brown. Its on the passenger side supposedly I think. By the way the cars a 86z. Thanks for any help.

Since you're asking on the Carb forum, and it's an '86, I'll assume you're talking about a CC carb (VIN H or G, LG4 or L69) - If so, it's a flat 4-wire connector that comes off the distributor base and goes to the wire harness on the firewall. It can be pretty well hidden, sometimes.
