tough question there, there are many things to consider. you can just install the carb and just forget about the injector clips and stuff if you wanna, you should be fine if you install the carb correctly and do everything the swap includes. but there are many factors to take in, what exactly are your swapping? just a carb/intake?

basically well had some problems have a parts car and a camaro well my running camaro decided the oil pump went out rod started knocking its a TBI and decided to take the TPI 305 and drop it in with carb
Do a search under my name in this forum and maybe over in the TBI forum. I did this conversion last year and I know I must have explained it half a dozen times over the last year.
It's pretty simple. You'll end up with very little of the original wiring being hooked up to anything. Distributor power, tach wire, oil pressure sender, dash temp gague temp sensor and cooling fan temp switch, alternator wires (and the A/C wiring if applicable) are the only things I think still hooked up on mine that I recall. But everything still works just like it should- speedo, tach, oil, temp and voltage gagues. Even the A/C still works just like factory!
