Holy heck, installing my fuel pump nearly killed me mentally, and I don't think I can go through all that again.

Is there anyway I can get around having to do that again

Sure, it doesnt have to be changed. All you have to do i buy a return style regulator and tone the pressure down to 5 or 6 PSI. I have just made the swap myself

The regulator controls the pressure for me? So I would not have to change fuel lines or anything?

Your the man, I think this swap might do the trick

You probably will have to reroute your lines a bit,and be sure to do a clean, thorough job plumbing in the regulator, nobody likes a burning car.

Yea this is true, but its not hard, i mounted my regulator on the strut tower right near the fuel lines where the rubber lines are. worked great, if you want i can send you a picture

Here ya go man, as you can see in the picture, i took the rubber lines and cut the metal fittings off them and just connected them to the regulator, then just ran the line over to the carb. Hope this helps:

Here's mine on my '88 GTA. Bypass regulator JEGS part #793-30-900. It reuses the original hoses that went to the TPI engine. Notice the armor on the hoses and double clamps. I give a big AMEN on the "burning car" statement.
AW.
