restarting problems

I have a 92 camaro with a built 350. It is a carbureted engine with electric choke and a msd ignition. When I start my car it runs fine and it drives fine for a while. But if i drive it for more then 30 min. it starts running really rough and it wants to stall when ever I stop. If i shut my car off and let it sit for about 15 min. it dosnt want to start back up, It turns over but will not start. Then if I leave my car overnight the next day it will start up fine. I tried to take it to a carb place but they said it might be electrical. I put a 1/2 inch non metal carb spacer to see if it was a heat issue with the carb. Any information would be greatly appreciated thank you

Welcome aboard.

Some more information would be helpful. What type of carb do you have (Holley, q-jet, Edelbrock, etc.)? What did you do with the fuel system - still using the in-tank electric pump? Mechanical pump on the engine? What type of distributor?

What you are describing could be a vapor lock problem, or it could be an ignition component that doesn't like heat.

It has a holley carb, and a holley red fuel pump. It is a msd distributor and plug wires. I was thinking that it could be vapor lock but the fuel lines didnt feel very hot.

Pushers typically don't vapor lock.

There have been several reports of MSD parts going bad.
