i gotta 85 ta w/ LG4 and when i try to start it there is this ticking sound coming from the carb, what is that? it will only start after i spray startup fluid in it. also once it finally is running, if i press the gas at all, it bogs and will almost/sometimes does, stall out. any1 with any insight here?

 

First off, the ticking at startup is normal- it's just the Mixture Control Solenoid Activating. As for the difficulty starting the engine, Make sure your choke is opening and closing properly. About the bog- try setting the air valve tension by referencing the Tuning for Performance technical article .
