bg idle

hey guys just started trying to teak my timing, and I got a really steep timing curve now. initial at about 17-18 at 700 rpm, however at 900 rpm it jumps to about 25 right away. which is fine however my carb wont idle down below that now. I have to pull the linkage with my finger to idle lower than that, the screw is out as far as it can go, my guess is that perhaps the TRANSFER SLOTS got enlarged somehow? in teh BG manual it says for engines idling lowe than 1000rpm allow .020" in the primary transfer slots and the secondaries closed, I think perhaps somehow they opened up a little.

also I have a DEMON 650. and read about this idle EZE plate. I'm thinking that mine might have this. I guess to check seeing as how I have to take the carb off the intake that I will see if there is a center screw in the middle of the plate. if so . how does this actually work? I know how to adjust it, just wondering how it works. I read that its usuful for cam shaft swaps when the dureation of the intake and exhaust valves are open longer together?

and my main question is how do you adjust the transfer slots. I havne't looked yet and haven't dealt with that for about a year. so I i get stumped today when I go to work on it at my shop. I will come baqck and hopefully have an answer from you guys.

cheers
