rough idle/ no idle

rough idle/ no idle

well we just got my nw motor runing about a month ago and when i drove it home it was fine except 4bbl wouldnt open and electric choke had gotten broken off. well i had another qjet rebuilt and now it woulnt idle we have got timming set were it should be but it runs very rough smokes and choke is working. it studders very bad. please help i realy need this thing going and im on the verge of giving up!

If your original carb ran fine except for the choke and secondaries, you may only need to repair its choke. The missing choke linkage was probably not allowing the secondary airvalves to open as they're linked together.

Sounds like your rebuilt carb is not right, installed correctly or not adjusted. Might be easier to fix the choke on the carb that you know is good.

well the carb that is on now was on the motor that i bought and rebuilt and it was running when we removed it. im starting to get very angry and i cant afford al this tylenol and sparkplugs im going through!

305 .030 over and stock ccq-jet but turned out ecm fuse kept blowing and valve adustments were off. now ive got other problems!
