88 Monte CC QJet to 85 LG4?

One of my good friends is getting kicked out of his house and moving to another city, so he's looking to get rid of some of the random stuff he has lying around to earn some money for the trip.

So yesterday he found an old E4ME CC Quadrajet carburetor that used to sit atop of his L69 in his 1988 Monte Carlo, before he went to a non-cc setup. He offered it to me for a mere $20, and is fully assembled.

I told him I would pick it up next Tuesday when I get paid, but I did have a few questions that he couldn't answer because he's never owned an f-body before.

Basically, what I'm wondering is if the Qjets from Montes are identical to the Qjets that came on F-body LG4/L69s? Do they use the same metering rods? Any differences between the throttle linkage hookup or TV cable? Any missing or additional sensors or parts removed or used on the Monte's Qjet?

I'm planning on taking it from him and then rebuilding it, using the factory L69 parts for my LG4, while at the same time using my original Qjet on my car for transportation. If there are any major differences I might not be able to do this, since I can't afford for the car to be down for too long. However, I'm guessing this will basically be a unbolt, remove and reinstall scenario.

Thanks for the help.

If it was a monte carlo SS i am pretty sure that it was identical to the HO Camaros, and would work well on an LG4.
