I just bought a mighty demon with that idle ease screw, its just a regular screw, righty tighty lefty loosey. It sounds like you have it bottomed out, but I wouldn't go forcing it, I myself didn't know how they worked so I took off the base plate, this is what I would recommened. plus they don't make it easy with the sized screw driver that you have to use, the slots in the screw are huge and the hole for the air cleaner isn't that big. anyways its a straight style screwdriver even though if you look down at the head its lookes like a phillops! for my application that screw did nothing! I ended up drilling small holes in the butterflies. Small meaning .032 thousants of an inch.
you gotta know how to use them correctly for it to work...
The purpose of the ide-eze is once you have your car running as lean as possible on idle but yet cant get it quite right, you use the idle eze. When tuning the car, leave the idle ease closed, then once yoiur tuned such as you would your normal holley, you open it up just a tad, 1/4 turn increments, until its just right.
The idle eze is an awesome idea, no other carb designed though of a way to equalize like barry grant did.
heres a photo for ya.
