Buy a good book on carbs (available at local book store/summit/jegs/ etc). Also front and back covers of Holley catalogue have lots of useful info.

As for rich/lean, check plugs and get a "feel" for the car. Does it bog, smoke, backfire, etc

I love my wide band o2
