misc questions for my DP

I have a victor jr and a holley 650 dp. and a vaccum advance distributor

questions..

1. Which intake gasket do I need for stock heads? felpro-1206?

2. Do they make a electric choke kit for my carb? My "List #" is 4777-3 0669.

3. Is there a certain throttle cable/ TV bracket that works best with the stock LG4 cables?

4. Anything else i need? Will stock intake manifold bolts work? Stock carb bolts?

If you can provide me with manufacturer or summit part numbers it would be greatly appreciated.

I can't comment about stock heads gaskets, but I can tell you Victor Jr's do not come ported and ready for 1205's unless you pay extra for it or spend some time hand porting them out yourself. 1206 can be done, but it would be very thin once carved out. I wouldn't recommend it on the street. My AFR's are only 1206 for comparison and there 210cc runners.

With any luck a parts store could look up the correct fel-pro gasket for your stock heads.

is this going on your 305? the victor jr. is not the intake to go with. find someone who wants to trade for a performer rpm or sell it and buy either a performer rpm or a holley street dominator intake p/n 300-36 (this is the one i'm running...i like it alot) these are both great designed dual plane intakes and will make much more power all the way around in the small motor and will also be much more friendly on the street.

1. part number 1204
2. holley p/n 45-224 for the electric choke kit, though i'm not running one at all and don't believe it's necessarily needed.
3. the stock cable bracket will work fine if you don't mind bending it a bit to make it work with the new intake manifold, however, it's hard to get the geometery just right. i'm a big fan of my Philadelphia Racing Products cable bracket. the are the manufactorer for the jegs aluminum brackets and actually mount ontop of the throttle blade plate on the holleys. you'll need the kickdown calbe bracket as well. jeg's is a little cheaper when you buy "their" brand. jegs p/n 555-15230 for the throttle cable bracket with return springs. looks like this:

p/n for the kickdown cable bracket attachement is 555-15229 which attaches to the bottom of the above bracket underneath the throttle cable bracket and looks like this:

4. stock manifold bolts will work fine, though it'd be a good idea to clean the threads and put some rtv on the threads to reseal them so you don't get oil and coolant all over your brand new intake (yes, it'll seap up through the threads and makes a MESS). stock carb bolts are about 3" long and will not work with your holley. either get some chrome mr. gaskets ones from the hotrod section of the parts store, or some black ones(what i'm running, lol) from the help section of the parts store. i think the black ones are like $3.99 and the chrome ones are like $5.99.

have you done headers and exhaust yet? if not, those have got to be done first if your wanting to go fast(i'd assume so since your using a double pumper). you need to get the air out before putting more air in.

oh, and thanks alot for the comment in your pm to me about my 305...i'm really excited about round 2 as well...
