tpi to carb conv. throttle linkage issue...

ok so I read the posted article on the conversion where the writer says good luck figuring it out on TPI for the throttle cable going to a carb.

anyone do this swap and figure out linkage/sheet metal solutions?

thanks,

What kind of carb are you going to use?

Most people look for an '82-'87 carb'd 3rd gen cable & brackets from a junkyard. Haven't tried it, but understand the TBI is very similar and use-able.

CSR makes a very nice adjustable bracket that will allow you to run your stock throttle and detent cable.

I've used Holley's HLY-20-95 (summit part number) for over 3 years now with no problems whatsoever with the stock TPI cable. it'll even work with a 700R4's cable.
