1985 z-28 carb advice

hey yall i have a 85 z-28 with the stock carb i was woundering what would be a good replacement for this as far as size and brand i would like for it to be very streetable but a little power. also what is the intake on the car and would anyone have any ideals about replacing it also thank you for any info Fred

Transmission: T10, hurst shifter
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt, true-trac, 3.73
Neither of those would be a good way to spend your money. You'd spend ~$500, and get maybe a handful of HP. Bad $/HP ratio there.

Welcome to the forum. Now go get headers and full exhaust, and subframe connectors. Then come back

what kind of headers would you use the car has the stock 305 and 80000 miles on it it does have a flowmaster muffler on it.

fastest header fix would be either hooker or hedman shorty made for the camaro with y pipe include. That is if you have factory correct exhaust. If you still have your factory cat on i would also check out a high flow cat to free up some ponnies.

Second that. Also, try the A/V tension trick--and you'll have no more quadra-bog (should be in a tech section somewhere). I have an L69 dual snorkel for sale. Should you be interested, please PM me.

is the dual snorkle the one that comes off a ho 305? also is the hanger bracket on the carb thanks for the info Fred

Hanger bracket? Do you mean rod hanger? If so, that's part of the secondary system on the carb.
