Missing Vacuum line

Ok guys,

I just swapped carbs (stock Q-jet) in my 305 powered 84 T/A. I went with a new Q-Jet from Jet performance products. I have no problems with the carb, but man, I was hooking up the vacuum lines that I removed from my old carb, I counted 6, and now I'm missing one...

Facing the motor, it's on the right side of the carb just below the three pronged power connector. I checked GM's vacuum line diagram and it appears to be the line that comes from the distributer however, I can't find any lines that come from the distributer. I have re-hooked up everything that I had taken off, triple checked it and I can't find this missing line. I even checked the other ports on the new carb to make sure I didn't hook it up to one of those and I haven't. I've pulled the damn thing apart three times completely, and re-hooked it up and I'm still missing this line. How and the heck does a vacuum line just up and walk away?

Is it runnin fine without? if so I would just leave it. Also, could you have possible removed it when u took the old setup off? maybe it's on the old carb.

Check your air cleaner - there's a vac hose that operates the thermac valve. It may have pulled off when you took the air cleaner off.

OH MY GOD!! Your a genius! I completely forgot about that one! I'll move one hose that I now know I've put in the wrong place and poof...it all makes sense! LOL Thanks!
