Fuel pressure gauge how should it act?
84s/e lG4 305 with a model 1406 600cfm edelbrock and a edelbrock 2102 cam with a preformer intake and heddman headers. Has a stock new fuel pump (mechanical) Put on a 0-15psi gauge in line between the pump and filter. The gauge was new from summit. First it read 4-5psi idling and then got erratic jumping up and down 0-14 after several days now its not moving off of zero but the car runs strong and the gauge filckers sometimes.
I think I just got a bad gauge.
What should it read if working like it should. Thanks

I just put a Mr. Gasket 0-15 psi gauge on mine this weekend. At idle it fluctuates between 5.5 and 6.5 psi. When I turned the engine off it stayed at 5.5 psi and slowly bled off to 0 over 30 minutes.
