Carb'd 383 and Emissions

was wondering if anyone has gotten a 383 to pass a sniff test?

Transmission: TH400 with brake, 8" PTC converter
Axle/Gears: moser 9" 4.11
sniff test where? and the 454 in my truck has passed, so any motor can pass if you can tune it, besides Cali of course

texas may be the best state in the union but unfortunately in my county we have the dreaded sniff test and this 383 my uncle's tradin me was dyno'd at 504rwhp so that was kinda scaring me as too the whole emissions thing

pass emissions with the 305 then pop in the 383 and get a show car waiver, if your state has that like illinois

Axle/Gears: 3.23
if that 383 really made 504rwhp, that means it probably has a not so smog friendly cam (lots of overlap, tight lsa etc.) before you go, get the motor real warm and lean it out then cross your fingers.
