electric choke adjustment?

electric choke adjustment?

i have a holley street avenger carb, the choke is opening to quick, i have it turned all the the way back so it opens the slowest, wont even idle when cold, but idle fine when it get warm, is there any way to make it open even slower?

How high is your fast idle - I bet thats actually your problem. It doesn't matter how lean or rich it is, if the fast idle is too slow it will never start and run cold very reliably. It should be around 1500 rpm or so.

my fast idle is around 1200-1300, the carb just recently started doing this, it will run fine if i take the air cleaner off and close the choke with my finger, problem is it spring back up a little when i let go and it goes way lean. i am using a wide band tuner when i first start it the afr goes to 19.0 then dies, once is warm it idles about 13.7-15.2, its not that consistant since the cam is somewhat a hot street cam
