carb sensor problems, please help
i'm new to fixing up cars and i have a 1984 2.8 camaro and when it's cold the car doesn't want to stay running unless i sit in it and give it gas until the engine is warmed up. when it dies the choke and check engine light comes on. my guess by looking at the engine while its running is that the sensor in the carb to control the choke is not working, meaning when it gets started the choke opens up right away and doesn't want to stay closed, and if its not closed how's the engine supposed to gradually warm up and then slowly open the choke? if anybody can tell me if that's the problem, or what could be the problem that would be great, oh, and where could i get a new sensor?

I attached an excerpt from one of the manuals that covers some of the adjustments on these carbs. It's been too long since for me to remember much about the 2-barrel, 2.8 carb (winter of '96, up all night, right before leaving for Bosnia-otherwise I wouldn't remember when).
