Edelbrock Elec. Choke: Hookup in fuse panel?

Hey guys, wiring up the edelbrock choke on the 1411 performer. Video says to insert the positive lead into the fuse panel where the "pow acc" fuse should go, however, there is already a big metal fuse occupying that spot. Where did you guys hook up your choke to?

use the factory choke hot wire

make a ground wire for the other side of the choke circuit, if the choke is a two wire one

I may be making the king of all assumptions, but a '90 Camaro TPI wouldn't have a choke wire.

You would be correct sir.

See kids, it pays to be observant.

With that, anyone else?

The "big metal fuse" is a circuit breaker.

I'm not familiar enough with the layout of that fuse panel to provide specifics, but there should be other unused ignition-switched slots open. If not, tap off a switched line on the switch side of the fuse/circuit breaker, such as that "pow acc" slot, and use an in-line fuse pigtail (available from most parts stores).

So you can safely just plug the choke into the panel along with an existing fuse? As if they were 'sharing' the same slot?

The choke is very low draw. Shouldn't be a problem.

The advantage of doing it the way I described is you wouldn't add load to the existing fused side of the circuit. The supply side won't notice the extra load.

How do I tell which side is the supply side?

Take the fuse/circuit breaker out. Turn the ignition to "on", put a voltmeter or light on each side of the fuse. The one with voltage is the supply side.
