engine backfiring after..

Hey all i have a question, I used sea foam in my camaros motor. its a 350 with edlebrock intake and carb headers anmd 3 inch echaust and performance ignition. non computer controlled. I just used sea foam through my carb and went for a drive no smoke really since the motor has 30k on it. my problem was when i held the gas at about 2500-3000 and stomp on it to the shift lite about 4500 there as loud BANGS! and small flames somin outa the exhaust. and a wee bit of black smoke but it dosent seem to do it now. what can it be? and if no bange from the exchaust tips it could be herd in the headers and piping under the car.

Pull the plugs and clean/replace them. If they're clean, you either have a weak ignition issue, or you got a piece of loosened crude inbetween an exhaust valve & seat (or multiples).

Most any copper core plug will be fine.

One time my car back fired was because one of my spark plud wires had a hole in it. It was to close to manifold and was arcking on it.
