Fuel Pressure

Well its getting warmer enough to go outside and not get frostbite after like 5 mins so i decided to start fixing the cars little quirks. Well i knrew the car was running way too rich because even half throttle would cause it to bog down. Well when i bought the car it had a fuel pressure gauge hooked up right before the carb well its a little damaged but still works and says the cars running at 12 at idle. So my question is do i need to drop the tank or is there an inline pump that i have to take off. thanx in advance

You just need a fuel pressure regulator. Drop that pressure down to like 4-5psi for the carb. You don't wanna run to much pressure or you can damage your carb!

You won't damage the carb until the overflowing gas catches on fire.
