Hey guys, I just rebuilt my carb (stock q-jet LG4) off my 85 firebird. When you would add some throttle (small amount) the engine would bog, nowi've gotten a few backfires through the carb, and theres been several times were i've had troubles turning off the engine. Just after the carb rebuild, the engine ran perfect, I then was able to drive it around town; but after about 30 minutes the float had some issues and caused the engine to shutoff (at a stoplight ), and couldn't be started until we fixed the issue. I ended up pushing it into a parking lot were the carb was fixed, but after we fixed that issue, it bogged down once again... just like before we rebuilt it... any ideas??

the passenger AIR pipe is broken, right after the check-valve, so I get exhaust right into my engine bay... think that has anything to do with it?

Input please? Thanks

Sorry, I was out of town for an Army buddy's funeral when you first posted. I hoped someone could chime in during my absence.

Glad you found the problem, and thanks for coming back to let us know what it was.
