so i want to add a ram air kit to my carbed motor, i am stuck between the vararam street kit or the spectre kit. The spectre kit is more visualing apealing but does not advertize gains in 1/4 mile Et if you have tried either or know about the please share.

If you still have the original q-jet I would go for the dual snorkel ram air setup the H.O cars came with. I got one laying around in my garage there pretty nice setup

You can try it. I have a 650 mighty demon and the H.O. air cleaner dosent sit on top of that carb to well because its made for the quadrajet. So now it's in my garage collecting dust.

All except the Edelbrock 600 part. . .

The HO dual snorkel will fit your carb. Getting cool air to the engine when hot out, and warm air when the engine is cold when it's cold out will definitely help.
