quick power valve selection Q. thx
Hey, how do you know if you need a high flow power valve or a standard one? My motor makes around 460 fly HP, around 350 at the wheels. I idle at around 6" of vac. and I have an out of the box 750 Holly DP. I hear these have 6.5s so my PV must keep opening. I want to get a 4.5 but am not sure if i should get the high flow one. What do you guys recommend?

I can't say I know what makes a PV "high" or "standard" flow, but looking through the Holley numerical listing, the only application they use high flow from the factory is alcohol carbs.

Well something like that. I am not sure since I never dynoed the motor. But I have bog parts on the car, they make more friction and have more rotating mass. The moser 12 bolt is HUGE. And the T-56 is also heavy and big. I also have an extra thick flywheel that needed to be custom made to fit the T-56 to the Gen I block. I have herd you lose like 20%-25%, so I guess more like 430, something like that. I dunno. I am also running a stock ignition and just tossed it all togeather. I got my MSD digi box, dizzy and coil yesterday, I should be making a bit more after that.
