engine hard to start when already warmed up AND dying
Ok, as I posted yesterday, I recently installed a Holley-rebuilt E4ME Q-jet, because the stock Q-jet had been dieseling badly. At first it was fast idling too high, but I have since solved that problem, now I am encountering an entirely different one.
My T/A seems to start up just fine when it is cold (such as after sitting overnight). This morning it did just that. I let it warm up, and drove it around my neighborhood for a mile or so, and everything seemed fine. Keep in mind it has been idling kind of weird lately, but not this morning....
So I park the car again, come inside, and let the car sit about 45 minutes. I go back out, and try and start the already warmed up car, and I have to tap the gas pedal in order to get it started... AND, once it is started, it almost instantly dies out. The only way to keep it running is to keep applying the gas.
Any suggestions as to what is going on with my T/A? Does my carb need more adjustments? Maybe something else, perhaps the fuel pump? Please help, I changed out the carb because the stocker wouldn't turn off, and now the rebuilt is turning off on its own....

is the return line, the "fuel line looking" line at the back of the carb?, if so, then yes, i have one. sorry i'm not so specific with the terminology, this is my first carb'd car.
i think my problem might be solved by messing around with the set screw which contacts where the throttle cable hooks up. since i have a feeling it isn't idling high enough. i haven't gotten a chance to mess around under the hood today, but will definitely post something once i do, hopefully tomorrow.

Try the adjustments I linked to in your other thread, but it sounds like a choke issue. Verify that as your car warms up the choke blades are gradually opening up to full vertical. When it won't start warm make sure the choke is not closed.
