Starts problems when hot
OK, My car will start great on a cold start with a pump of the gas then start and it fires up, well after the car is warmed up and say i go in to the store and come out and go to start it I have trouble and usualy haft to hold the pedal down to get it to go, It didnt used to do this, it used to just go with no gas if it was warm, id like to get it like this again......anyone have any idea why, It also feels sometimes like its going to stall on me at red lights.

When was the last time it had a tune up, including fuel filter and 02 sensor replacement? How old is the battery? Does it still have the OE catalytic converter?

well since your car domain says you have an eldelbrock intake and you plan on putting a 350 in it then i suggest a holley carb, about a 650 so when you get the 350 you can swap it over.. this is assuming you still have the q-jet on it.. if not then have your carb rebuilt..

The converter was replaced for a high flow a while ago, the 02 sensor was along with the map sensor in april. I dont think its the battery because it has plenty of powe it just cranks unless i hold the gas.

well i'm guessing its computer controlled, so the coumputer could be giving it wrong signal or the o2 sensor could be going out.. could be a few things, when i had the same problem, i just got rid of the qjet and all the computer junk... i would suggest cleaning out the carb and getting a mild tune up.. cap rotor wires and coil
