EFI to carb swap components list?

Hi guys, i've been away for a couple weeks, and have been thinking my 1989 GTA build over, it's a 5.7 350, and instead of staying with EFI i was wondering if i could pass emissions using a carb in colorado, as long as I have the EGR provisions? I know that there are EGR equipped carb manifolds out there, and was wondering what you think of chet engines' Single plane intake manifold for an SBC with the EGR provisions, and a pro-form 600 CFM street series carb. What kind of distributor, and cam would you guys suggest for this. For the distributor i was looking at the MSD street fire, and maybe a crane cams saturday night special. But, i'm very in experienced as far as cams go. I also know that i'd have to have my MAF turned off in my computer, and such. What would you guys reccomend?

Stay with EFI. Carb won't pass the enhanced requirements in Colorado, especially a non-computer carb.

Re: EFI to carb swap components list?

Well, i might just do an HSR system then, because i really don't like the TPI system, whatsoever, atleast for my application. Granted, it makes good torque, but it's too restrictive for a high revving, high horsepower engine, unless you're willing to dump atleast $1,000 into something like an ACCEL super ram intake, whcih i really can't afford. And, i don't like edelbrock baseplate/runners. And FIRST is good, but it still has long runners.

Perhaps, if i ported the intake runners majorly, and plenum, and just upgraded the factory base plate. I'd only end up being $500-$550 out of the hole on the one. About the same as an HSR intake, but 50 state:-/
