Re: holley carb question

i was seeing if anyone had ever delt with the tech. support at holley i sent them the #'s on the airhorn to see what kind of carbs i had, if anyone has just seeing how long it takes to respond its been 24 hours already...

I also found something out, dont know if many people know about it but its a way to find what carb you need for your motor

Cubic Inches x Max RPM, then divide by 3456 = recomended carb CFM

The size formula is familiar here.

If you have the List numbers, you can get the information from Holley's website under Tech Service, Technical Library, and Carb Numerical Listing.

Re: holley carb question

not to jack the thread, how accurate is that formula? You go by max rpm of the cam range?

It's accurate assuming 100% volumetric efficiency (pretty rare on a street engine) and a single plane intake manifold.

It basically gives you the minimum carb size for an expected RPM max.
