2.8L carburetor
I was wondering if I get a Holly or Edelbrock carb for my 2.8L do I have to replace anything else to make it work/fit.
Also would this a direct bolt in or do I have to get a different intake to make it work?http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Re: 2.8L carburetor
Why do you need a new carb? That is a crap load of $ for a V6 carb. Unless yours was stolen or blew up I would say fix what ya got. $500 and you are not going to go any faster or handle any better, or even look sleeker? Not the best use of $ unless you abolutly have to get one.
Oh and yeah, should work just fine.

yeah unless you really need a carb that seems like a huge waste, you could probably just buy another camaro for that.

I really dont think that your car with that many miles is going to do much for it, Go with a exhaust system or MSD ignition or something or do the the 2.8 to 3.1/3.4 if you want it to be quick. Its just a stock rebuilt carb.....Carburetor, Remanufactured, Rochester............................http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku Last edited by 84'Firebird; Dec 12, 2007 at 02:39 PM.

Re: 2.8L carburetor
If the stock varajet works, use it. Otherwise get a stock rebuilt varajet. The 2.8 carbed is so low hp changing the carb is not going to help it. All you need w/ the 2.8 is for it to run smooth and get good mileage.
