Howdy!
Just want to ask a question that is asked alot... but just listen to me for a minute... I have a TBI 88 formula and I was wanting to go Carb... well I was pulling the harness out of the passenger side , got it all the way off... out of the car.. well , I was going to do what most post said to do, when looking at harness, my harness looks like they are all hooked to from the computer to the firewall mount.. I got the turn signal harness off, but some of my wires are hooked in conjuntion to the computer... two questions...can you get a harness out of a pre-86 car (carb harness) and it fit the firewll mount the same(my thinking was probably not) other question is, I've seen alot of post just saying to remove the harness and use the two wires for the distro... My harness is hooked all together, do I need to cut the wires from the computer harness or do something else... I do have a source that has a carb harness , just didn't know if I could do that .. the right side of the firewall harness is the turn signals or front harness... that's why i am wondering if you can plug a carb harness into this port... anyway.. could somebody please help me , I mean , my temp sensor is in this bundle along with the regular ole carb sensors for the gauges.. maybe I just need to dig more in the searches... please help if you can... need to get this done... thanks alot and the comments would be greatly appreciated... I posted a diagram that someone here gave me that should help you build your harness. The best way is not to tear up the original just remove them and make your own.
