fuel problems
fuel problems
i have an 82 trans am. i have submitted q's many a time on here. and once again i have another one. first off the background.......my TA was originally cross fire fuel injected and now it is carburetor. i put a new pump in the tank, new fuel lines, new regulator, fuel pressure gauge and filter. now when i am driving it runs really good. when i go to shut it off though, it keeps wanting to run. is that a problem with still too much fuel getting to the carb? or is that a completely different problem? help please
thanks

Re: fuel problems
It seems like the primary throttle blades are open too much.
How much of the transfer slot is showing?
Other things:
- Incorrect base timing
- Plug heat range
- Float levels too high/fuel pressure too high
