Where should the floats with the plastic site plugs on a 750 holley DP with mech. secondaries be set at? Do you go by the fuel or the looking at the float itself? I know the front should be just below the plug hole but what about the rear? Thanks

set the rear just below the sight hole. front should trickle out the sight hole. Check with engine running.

Re: 750 dp help
Ok, but I thought with those ( clear ) ha. site plugs... I didn't think you would have to unscrew them. They're pretty fragile I might as well get the normal ones.

The clear ones are for tuning only. You aren't supposed to leave them on when you run.

No need for that. It isn't well understood (I didn't up to about 2 years ago), but they don't stand up to constant fuel exposure.

BG, QFT, some others build the site windows into the bowl - nothing to unscrew. The way Holley should have done it (I believe they are in some models now).

Re: 750 dp help
"problems" how?

blocked passages? just drop them in carb cleaning solution, sold in a gallon pail like a paint can and then blow out with compressed air.

Re: 750 dp help
The needle screw threads in the top of the float bowl were stripped out, no power valve they were blocked off, #82 jets, warped throttle plate, no top vent tubes, need I say more........
