We are in the process of swapping my TPI for a carb. We need help finding a altenator bracket that will work on my 305 . Wieand xcelerator intake with a holly 600 carb. The car is a 1986 camaro Z28. We have taken off the smog pulley and the A/C pully. All that is left is the altenator and the power steering and the water pump . My car also has an electric cooling fan. What kind of bracket will work for my new application. We tried one of a fire bird that was carb but it still wouldnt work.

What year Firebird? I was going to say any '82-'87 V8 carb bracket should work.

 

84 firebird, Top bracket works but bottom dont....we are going to try a combo my old bottom bracket and firebird top bracket... any more Ideas will help! Ill let you know how this goes!
