Choke fuse keeps blowing
The fuse keeps blowing and the wires in the engine compartment to the choke are in good condition. I noticed it all started around the time I put a carb cleaner additive in my fuel. But for some reason I don't believe a fuel additive can blow a fuse. Any ideas?

Re: Choke fuse keeps blowing
I found behind the fuse box the wire was melted. But I cant tell if its melted deep behind the dash but the worst of it is behind the box. I am going to replace much of the wire as I can get to which is only about 5 inches but its the only exposed wire that I can see. Can this short melt the wire evenly?

Well i replaced as much of the melted wire as I can possibly could get to and its still shorting. To go any farther the dash my have to come out. I think this time its going to a professional. I just hate having to deal with the dash.

Re: Choke fuse keeps blowing
In my car it's covered by the drivers side bottom dash panel (behind the ALDL connector). Theres a flip-down thing similar to the fuse panel that flips down and has the C-H relay, convenience buzzer, and turn signal blinker.
