ok so my dad just left for iraq for a whole year this morning but before he left we got my car running pretty good but i still need to replace the o2 sensor but my question is when i reaplace the o2 sensor. won't it just go bad again because of running rich or does the o2 sensor control the carb mixture

If everything else is working correctly, the ECM will control the mixture based on the input from the O2 sensor.
