I know what i need to do to the tranny if i remove the ecm.As I only drive the car occasionally, could i leave the fix for a bit or is it bad to drive at all, with no lockup,in regards to slippage.

Re: Convertor lockup.
Do it as soon as possible, and avoid cruising for long distances in 4th until you do.

Are you sure your car has an ECM?

I'm kinda jackin this thread, but i got a 200c tranny, and i removed the ECM, how do i get the converter to lock up? Is it those wires Hanging off of it? where do they go?

BTW, why is this posted in carburetors?

Re: Convertor lockup.
The 200-4R and the 700R4 TCC's are controlled the same way, the only difference is in the physical arrangement of parts inside the valvebody.

Keep an eye on this thread:

It's in carburetors because only carbureted setups don't have a computer to take care of such things.

Thanks.Yes it has a ecm,I dont mind the cc system,i'm just trying to tidy up the engine bay a bit.Just difficult with everything in the way.I've already have the non cc dist and a standard stage one Qjet for if and when i get around to doing the swap.So I could get away with short distance driving, for testing purposes, before I did the tcc.

Re: Convertor lockup.
You could, but it's easy enough to at least wire a switch through the ALDL like in the tech articles.

Re: Convertor lockup.
That could be the best way to go.I dont like to change too many things at once.Just makes it harder to track and solve issues.
