I have a carb that is missing some linkages and i am not sure if i can buy the pieces somewhere or would i better off getting a new carb. I think it's missing linkage to the secondery. It says that it's quadrajet on the side, not sure which one

This is on your '67 Camaro isn't it? tsk tsk man, wrong forum!
Yea, you're missing the secondary air valve rod. Should be easy enough to grab at a JY. That carb desperately needs a rebuild...
Oh, the rod only keeps you from using the secondaries when the car is cold, so if you aren't a goofball driver (driving your COLD CAR hard) you'd never notice it's gone.

Enough people put older q-jets on their 3rd gens that I don't see a problem with the chassis it's currently installed in.
You're missing the choke pull-off, or "vacuum break" in GM-speak. It has a link to the secondary AV, as Sonix stated. You'll have cold over-choking problems, and the possible bog going WOT when warm.
The secondary lock-out linkage is part of the throttle body, not the AV. The high-idle cam disengages the lock-out when it drops down with the choke fully open.
