ok i have a 305 that is carbed


so i was driving along....it was driving fine no problems. then it backfired, then died....and hasnt started since

i checked for spark and i got it, i checked for fuel and fuel pressure, both are ok ....there is just no fuel getting pumped into the carb its self, i can see that the fuel isnt getting sprayed into it.

but when i put fuel into the carb myself...it will fire up, then die again(due to the lack of fuel i assume)

i just rebuilt it after this problem happend, cleaned everything out (i supposed i could have put it back together wrong)


but now im stuck, any ideas? new carb?

 

A little more detail would help. Such as year, stock or aftermarket carb, any modifications, basic maintenance history (good, poor, etc.).
