350 Carb

ok, I have acsertained that I DO have a 350 motor, but whoever swapped the motor from the stock 305 retained the stock carb. I like the electric choke, but performance with this setup leaves a lot to be desired. What should I switch the carb to with a minimum of trouble? Can the stock carb be modified/tuned to fuel a 350? If so, what would be required?

If it's not running right, it's not because of the type of carb on it. Either the carb isn't adjusted right, or the system isn't getting the right input to allow it to work right.

My carb needed to be rebuilt when I pulled the 305 and put the 350 in, but other than that, I didn't do anything but adjust it to factory specs - and it runs great.

Tell us what you know about the engine and installation. We can probably identify the issue if you have sufficient information for us.

I know nothing about the install other than what I see when I pop the hood. It was a hack job all the way. I'm starting to think that there may be some important sensors somewhere disconnected. I was planning on a new intake and carb to go "wireless" anyhow, looks like I will have to accelerate the process. How did you adjust the stock carb?
