Edelbrock Carb, What Distributor Should I Use?

Engine is a rebuilt 305 and has been bored 0.040" over, Bigger Cam .472 Intake and .496 Exhaust, 1.6 Rockers, Performer Intake, and Aluminum Heads w/58cc chambers. Anyway, As far as ignition goes I am using the stock ignition, I am still using the stock Distributor which does not have any Vaccum or Mechanical advance. The Carb is and Edelbrock 600CFM.
When Driving the car and giving it full throttle it justs falls on its face.
If I install a different Distributor with vaccum advance will this solve my problem? And What kind of distributor should I use, any brand in particular? Any info is helpfull.....

Most anything with vacuum and mechanical advance will do. You don't need anything special.
