Blower car - 1to1 or Progressive linkage?
After researching, I found out that all you have to do to a Demon carb to manifold reference the power valve when using a draw through blower is to buy another baseplate - off one of their blower carbs. Which I did.
So I now have a Speed Demon carb with a Mighty Demon Blower series carb baseplate.
But I noticed that the blower series baseplate linkage came set up to be 1 to 1 (secondaries open up at almost the same time as primaries) - instead of progressive linkage like it was on the old baseplate (primaries open 1/3, then secondaries start to open)
I looked at the Demon website, and it appears all their blower carbs are 1 to 1. Of course, they show pics of these carbs on engines with 8-71 or bigger blowers running 2 4 barrel carbs.
So on a single carb application like mine, should I keep the linkage 1 to 1, or switch it to progressive?? Or doesn't it matter?
