I am just ordering a new 600cfm carb on Jegs. They have three to chose from http://www.jegs.com/p/Edelbrock/Edel...43643/10002/-1 What should I chose? One has electric choke and one has manual? I just use this car as an everyday driver and will race it once in a while.

 

I prefer an electric choke personally, it does all the work for you (Nothing wrong with a manual choke though, but you might have to buy a choke cable if it's not included)

 

the most intellegent choice would be to get an electric choke. i drive with no choke everyday. the car is cranky in the mornings, especially when its cold outside, but not too bad once the car warms up. but most people will tell you to run an electric choke.

 

It really depends on how streetable your cam is. For a street/strip motor, a manual is a better choice, otherwise the electric works good once you tune it and know the quirks if you have a cam with some duration.
Something I always liked about the manual is you can control exactly where to bump up the throttle and choke plate. With electric your screwed once the choke coils heat up and you shut the motor off early.

 

i prefer electric...it is easier tu run in the mornings.or better yet,,,you don't need to do anything but tap the gas pedal and it goes on...i'm lazy!
