Call dealer with VIN #. They will give you details. Also decals on rear will be "IROC Z 5.7". Nothing is spose to be "open" or uncapped. A hose may be missing. Study other cars engine pics to see what is missing. Lots on this site to view.

You don't need to call the dealer. The 8th character is what's important: 8 = 350 TPI, F = 305 TPI, H = 305 carb.

But, that doesn't matter much, either. Too much is non-factory on there.

It's a 4 barrel Holley. A cheap one at that.

The hose fitting is for the crankcase breather. It used to go to the intake tract, which has been removed. Put a small filter or breather cap on it.

If you live in LA, there is no way this car will pass smog.

Unless you're looking for a get-your-hands-dirty project, this is the type of car to run away from.

Re: i neeeed help.. first time 3rd gen buyer..

No such thing as a 8 bbl Holley, or any other carb for tha matter.

Like said, if you live in Cali - the car will never pass smog laws, therefore you can't drive it.

$1500 too high - might pay $800 IF I could drive it legally, which I can't in Cali. I NC, I wouldn't pay over $500 for it.

Wiring looks, uh, "modified" too. In my humble opinion, thats usually a good sign to stay away, not to mention the smog police as already mentioned will NOT like that.

If the owner says that it's original, he's full of ****
