MC Solenoid adjustments

I counted only 1/4 turn from all the way seated on the lean stop screw. This seems too extreme. How many turns is considered 'normal'? Yes I know I need to get the 1.304" gauging tool to do it right but what's considered average?.

Also, the plunger travel checked with carb all together was definatly less than 1/8" too. Rich stop plug is not removed yet so I can't adjust that right now but should be set to factory spec.

On my 'practice CCC carb', I also noticed even with the most extreme settings, it seemed impossible to get 1/8" travel ( although I'll admit I only did a half a$$ job trying ). Why are these carbs not getting more plunger travel?

I've always counted between 3 and 4 turns out on the lean stop. You can adjust the rich stop without removing the plug by turning it from the bottom with a set of pliers or needle nose.

Are you using a new gasket when you check your travel? Something must be off if you're measuring less than 1/8" with the lean stop cranked nearly all the way in. Make sure nothing else could possibly be restricting the travel of the plunger. You should hear it click audibly against the steel stops when checking it.
